Miracle at St. Anna not very good specially in the final part but very interesting "maybe real" story of our country in second world war. fb1072972774 Oct 6, 2008
Religulous This movie was amazing! He takes an outsiders standpoint and just asks questions. Its done in a satirical way which makes it funny too. "YOUR HAIRS ON FIRE!" fb560300990 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye ok movie. Tried to be Michael Bay, but neither had the money nor the talent behind the camera (god, I use the words Michael Bay and talent in one sentence... ). Secret behind it all was thankfully not revealed in the trailer. So you may hate or like the reason for the mayhem. I liked it, though it ended to easily. Now, I go and eat a WAPR... :-) fb583838649 Oct 6, 2008
Nights in Rodanthe Horrible! There is no way they fell in love with each other that quick. They fell in love with the thought of being in love, not in love with each other ShanalanaDingDong259 Oct 6, 2008
Religulous You have to admire Maher for taking on such a controversial topic and being brave enough to ask the inconvenient question most people (including myself for much of my life) avoid, either about religion or any other topic. Even though you obviously know where he personally stands, he puts the major religions equally under the microscope and does not discriminate. And in the process, the film is very entertaining! I don't remember the last time I laughed that much from a documentary or film. fb1167046140 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye It started out really well...but as soon as I figured out what was really happening, I was extremely disappointed and lost interest. fb1145361450 Oct 6, 2008
Religulous A very interesting premise, some of the things he talked about were good (state and religion, history of religion in the Mediterranean, etc) but I just felt that sometimes Bill Maher came off as being rude to the people he was talking to. Oh and being a Christian I can appreciate he spent so much time on it but there were alot of religions that weren't even mentioned. fb589206424 Oct 6, 2008
Religulous Entertaining but not very surprising. Basically people exposing their shallow beliefs in different "truths" while Bill Maher is laughing at them. fb781247978 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Very impressive movie, much better than I expected. Although there is a new twist to the movie every five minutes, these twists are sometimes predictable even though well-done. Would definitely recommend seeing in the theaters at least once if you like action movies. fb25901959 Oct 6, 2008
Religulous The light-hearted critique of religious folly in the first 90 minutes of the film did not at all prepare me for its intensely powerful finale. The audience, laughing and applauding through much of the film, was morbidly silent as the screen went to black and the credits rolled. Maher spends much of the film pointing out the well-documented (and for those of us who are atheist, somewhat familiar) inconsistencies surrounding the popular "salvation" religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. He pokes fun at Mormons, Scientologists, and Jews for Jesus, too. Many of these scenes are hilarious; others are outright sad. But it's in the final few minutes that Maher drives home his main points. First, Maher says, religious certainty is dangerous, sometimes fatal, and should be tempered with a healthy dose of doubt. Unbridled faith, he argues, is not a virtue. His second, and most moving, point is that while millions of people may simply believe in the destruction of Earth foretold in the scripture, man is now quite capable of causing such destruction ourselves, without assistance from vengeful sky gods. With increasing tensions among religious communities in the middle east and around the world, and the proliferation of nuclear weapons, Maher warns that it's religiously guided minds, more than any god, that may ultimately effect the destruction of mankind. fb527075882 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye very entertaining, but it lacked originality. just put together your average horror/suspence and robot conspiracy movies and you get this... fb738073662 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye i felt like i was watching several movies thrown together very badly once this movie was over. i was also tired after a 2 hour nonstop chase. so disappointing considering its from Steven Spielberg. fb500330216 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Good movie. Cool storyline and nice explosions. Lacked the icing and cherry though. I expected a "wow" factor. And it did kinda steal from Terminator. Plus: the ending was sucky. And lose the beard Shia LaBeouf. fb642147748 Sep 30, 2008
Eagle Eye I'm watching the movie and thinking this is a pretty good sci-fi techno thriller, and in the last two minutes the purpose of the movie was revealed. It's an action pack anti-Patriot Act movie. Can't remember the exact words, but it was to the effect of 'we have to make sure that while protecting ourselves we don't violate our civil liberties'. Thanks leftest ACLU hollywooders. happychristianconser Oct 6, 2008
Miracle at St. Anna Very good movie, multiple storylines going on that don't interfere with each other and wraps up well at the end. At bit graphic but I enjoy that stuff. fb5504921 Oct 6, 2008
Religulous This was great and full of laughs and insights on the state of religion today. I expected it to be funny from the previews I had seen and I wasn't disappointed. But it got a little preachy (ironically) at the end. It felt as if Maher had a definite agenda there (and I think he does, and is up front about it too). I wish he could have left it on a lighter note, keeping in tune with the rest of the documentary. fb11522306 Oct 6, 2008
Religulous Bill Maher was hilarious, the questions that he asked and the responses he gave to the religulous leaders and supporters were fantastic. It was very one sided in Larry Charles and Bill Maher's view of certain religions, and the questions they asked were often ridiculous, but ultimately this was a hilarious take on religion and the crazies that run the world with it. Definitely alot better to think of it as a comedy than as a documentary. exiledreplicant Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Not exactly Oscar worthy, but certainly a fun ride. I really enjoyed it, even though I was thinking "It's SkyNet!!!!" the whole time. LOL annabethblue Oct 6, 2008
Fireproof This movie is awesome! If you want to see what God wants in a marriage, go see this movie! A truly awesome story about how marriage can last when we follow what the Lord says on treating our spouse! fb789354136 Oct 6, 2008
Hunger the proof that nothing is rougher than reality - powerful directing...dont believe though it is right for any deeper political conclusions, for example about IRA strategy, apart the obvious like that Thatcher sucked fb675054687 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Besides the fast movement of the camera in some scenes, this movie was wicked!! They really gotta stop using Shia LeBoeuf for action movies! He belongs on corny TV shows like Degrassi or the OC! lol fb1118374187 Sep 23, 2008
Choke This is more emotionally relevant than you might think. The best movie I've seen in a theater since I can remember. In Bruges, maybe. slobhero Oct 6, 2008
Choke This is a film adaptation of one of my favorite books of all time (the only one I've had signed by the author), so my expectations were at least somewhat high yet ready to forgive. While I was astonished to see what material they kept from the repulsive, pornographically shocking novel, the film as a whole seemed to become a mostly finished jigsaw puzzle missing some crucial pieces. The most dissatisfying element, I'm sorry to report, is the choice to go with the mass-appealing Hollywood happy ending - for instance, that rock collection of best friend Denny's plays more of a role in Victor's life than can be expected, and the film stubbornly has no resolution for the peculiar hobby. Rockwell handles his fan-loved role with care and brains, and Huston, despite looking too old for the flashbacks, brings a professionalism that Chuck Palahniuk's stories deserve. The staged rape scene is hilarious, and the big twist-revealing scene (I'll call it that) brings humor and sadness simultaneously. If the future is perfect enough, this will be the weakest entry in the Palahniuk adaptations collection, but for now, it's not too bad... Too naughty? Perhaps... but not too bad. ctmeier Oct 6, 2008
Nights in Rodanthe I really want to see this movie, just because it's another Nicholas Sparks romance novel based movie. I have high expectations an will probably come back here as soon as I can to update! V3rticallyChallenged Oct 6, 2008
Fireproof Saw it this weekend! It was awesome. I think every married couple or anyone who is getting married should see it! Eye opening and a blessing. fb575836287 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Borrows a lot from enemy of the state, although the plot in this movie is total cheese. Shia was good, the poker game monologue was pretty funny. the action was very well done (lots of shaky-cam), but the films climax is totally cheesy. fb518076978 Oct 6, 2008
Fireproof With a joyful spirit, I can confidently report that the newest Christian-fueled, maritally-concious cinematic experience is a nice, even if not all together perfect, success. Three years ago, "Facing the Giants" proved to be cliche, campy and hideously forced. In other words, it was right on track with typical 'inspirational football movies' (the one genre I loathe to the core of myself). Naturally, I was hesitant to see this newest effort, but the relational implications was a strong bet. Now about the film: It isn't pefect and much of the acting is volunteer-oriented, a detail any critic must consider before annihilating the execution of lines. For many in the cast, it was their first and last time in front of the camera. They were making a film for God's glory, not filmic accreditation. So, that particular notion aside, this movie speaks very loudly about, I'd say, 60% of marriages in America today. Here, objectivity is key. For instance, I am not a married man, but am intimately involved with the woman I intend to marry. For me, then, it was the allegorical stories told that spoke loudest to my relationship. (example: Salt and pepper are always seen together. Both are completely different compositionally and sometimes used for different things. Still, they go together and, in a sense, balance each other out. Now, if you were to glue two S&P shakers together, tearing them apart may be detrimental. "Don't pull them apart, or you'll risk breaking either or both.") That analogy alone was worth my $7.50. "Fireproof" is a film that requires from its audience, a consideration of the greater good. It exists to bring audiences, specifically couples, together in Christ, hopefully proving that without His guidance and grace, we are loving in vain. There is a song that plays during the closing credits that contains a wonderful verse: "Love will come to save us / If we'll only call / He will ask nothing from us / But demand that we give our all." That is love, true love. fb1284930851 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye I was really disappointed....the action of this flick was great, but the story line was BEYOND far fetched.... fb725717351 Oct 6, 2008
Fireproof I liked this movie. There were some hokey, cheesey parts in the beginning but stick with it. The story has a great message about the importance of marriage. fb582364061 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Just like most movies, there were some unrealistic parts. It was perfect to get my mind off of things and keep me in suspense throughout the movie. Shia acted so terrific. I was impressed with the movie. SanjaiPasan Sep 27, 2008
Eagle Eye I like Shia's sincerity and, in this movie, even character development as he struggles to define himself in the shadow of an over-the-top accoplished brother and a stereotypical "hard to please" father. This was a Hal 2001 meets Telephone Booth meets Jason Bourne meets Transformers (I had to throw that in) movie that was just intense enough for me and not too intense for my spouse. It was good at raising some important political questions without being too preachy. Could have been better, but we did see it at the main-release theater and weren't disappointed on our date night. In terms of the message, its helpful to remember that our broken world can't be fixed by any man-made solution, and morality and our enemy's humanity is central to how we conduct ourselves as Americans in the world. Besides all that, the movie was well done with some amazing action sequences, and a several chase and "blow up" scenes that beat anything in Transformers. fb514805456 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye If you are one of those people that belive that technology will take over the world then you should watch this agnivohneb Oct 2, 2008
Fireproof This movie moved me to tears. I was so touched to see a movie that delves so deeply into issues people face today. Thank God for the Kendrick brothers and their boldness to make movies glorifying to our Lord and Savior. This film will leave no one untouched in spite of condescending reviews on Rotten Tomatoes that say, "This is not Oscar-worthy material." The Kendrick brothers say, "We know!...This is truly a loaves and fishes film." Fireproof won't be winning any Oscars, but it certainly will inspire couples in struggling marriages to work to save their relationships, and it also very well could lead people to Christ. I believe that will make the Kendrick brothers happier than any amounts of gold statues ever could. It'll make our Savior happier too. fb536550112 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye This movie is so freaking SWEET!!!! I can't believe how good this movie was. Every second was filled with intense action. I defiently recommend this movie to everyone!!! fgore21 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye OMG WHACK WHACK WHACK!!!!!! And I freakin LOOOOOOOVE Shia LaBeouf but this movie was terrible.....It dragged on and on.....I seriously didn't know when the movie was gonna end! It was just like I Robot except this one sucked LoL! I mean I was dozin off in the movie....C'Mon now!!!! fb514529257 Sep 27, 2008

Eagle Eye I enjoyed all the action, and it definitely kept my attention, but I have seen this plot before... a few times. fb163400815 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Voi herran perse mitä sontaa.
Fireproof This was a Great movie. I am not even married and it touched me. I love the fact of how it related sins to parasites and how they can effect a relationship. Everyone should go see this movie. fb58217320 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye This movie was awesome. Plus even if you didn't like it for some reason you could just look at Shia the time=]hahahaha..... Theresa305738537 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye They took two Will Smith movies and mashed it together. Minus the funny bits you expect in will smith movies. Worst movie I've seen this year never expected it to be this dumb. It started off good then got progressively bad to outright unbelievably ridiculous. Cant fault the acitng but the story was far fetched at best. fb516985037 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Isch für mich es bitzeli zu "unrealistisch" ;-) Ha scho bessers gseh uf dem Gebiet - Staatsfeind Nr. 1 fb561144436 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye I enjoyed this film. It was very entertaining and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The cinematography for this film reminded me of the Bourne movies. The acting was decent, pretty much the same from Shia LaBoeuf. I would like to point out, during the funeral scene in the movie, his emotions during that scene was very convincing. Not Oscar worthy, but still a very entertaining thriller. fb1285715141 Jun 26, 2008
Rachel Getting Married EXCEPTIONAL!!! just my favorite - GREAT story about quite disfunctional family, but ALL amazing characters, lovely acting, THANK YOU DEBRA WINGER for appearing again, loved it loved it loved it. let me warn you - quite depressing and heavy duty, many many times but then i also clapped at the band playing during the wedding, and then remembered it wasn't for real, JUST GREAT!!! anne hathaway is amazing, smart kid! fb761756906 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye HAL is that you? umm... Add some "Die Hard," Ridley and Tony Scott and dumb it down a notch to the Michael Bay level and you have this movie. he77 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye stupid flick. the action is ok, but the plot is dumb, and hilarious as it turns si-fi. sad to see, even Monaghan could't pull it. fb1219898604 Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye oh hell yeah this movie was kick a** a saw it on the fourth of OCT. and u absolutely have to c this one. shaylacogswell Oct 6, 2008
Eagle Eye Although somewhat a little farfetched, and lame final two minutes, it was a decent thriller. There were plenty of suspensful moments, mostly car chases. fb514328431 Oct 6, 2008
Rachel Getting Married A well crafted family drama. When the hand-held camera work wasn't making me sick I was crying my eyes out. Maura35810919 Oct 6, 2008
Religulous Although I agree with the premise that religions are mass deceptions and that people should wake up to that fact, I disagree with the movie's suggestion that religion is inherently violent or that it promotes violence. There are a few phrases I don't agree with, but overall, it is a must-see. Very funny too. fb3005421 Oct 6, 2008
